Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Astrion Academy collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the Astrion Academy online school. Questions are welcome at andrew@AstrionAcademy.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address, and a password you choose, when you create an account or buy a course.
- Your learning: the courses you have access to, your progress, any work you submit, such as case studies, and any certificates you earn.
- Your purchases: what you bought, when, and for how much. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Email: if you join our email list, your address and the date and way you gave consent.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
This website itself uses no analytics and no advertising cookies. The online school uses a cookie to keep you signed in.
How we use it
- To give you access to the courses you bought, and to keep track of your progress.
- To issue certificates. A certificate can be checked by anyone who has its verification link, which shows the name on the certificate, the course, the date it was issued, and whether it is still valid.
- To send the emails your account needs, such as receipts and password resets.
- To send our newsletter and course news, but only if you have agreed to it. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.
- To answer your questions.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers, who handle information only to provide their service to us:
- CourseForge runs the online school: accounts, courses and certificates.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Resend delivers our email.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores course files.
YouTube
Astrion Academy uses YouTube API Services to publish and manage videos on its own YouTube channel. We use that access only for our own channel; we do not use it to collect information about you. If you watch our videos on YouTube, YouTube's own terms and Google's privacy policy apply: YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. Access granted to our application can be reviewed or removed at any time from your Google account permissions.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and course records while your account is open, so you can keep returning to your courses and your certificates stay verifiable. Purchase records are kept as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. If you unsubscribe, we keep only a record that you unsubscribed, so you are not emailed again.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing andrew@AstrionAcademy.com. You can unsubscribe from our email list at any time using the link in any of those emails.
Children
Our courses are professional training for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
